Filoflora
Wild nature, gentle hands.
About the producer and family:
FiloFlora is a small, family-run mountain farm and herbal laboratory founded by Arianna Stocco and supported by her family in Ugovizza, near Malborghetto-Valbruna in the Carnic Alps of northeastern Italy. Arianna’s deep connection to the mountains, nature, and local flora — nurtured since childhood — led her to create a business centered on hand-cultivated medicinal and aromatic plants, respecting seasonal rhythms and traditional cultivation.
Working together — with her husband Paolo helping with infrastructure, her aunt Monica in the fields, and her parents Barbara and Martin contributing their skills — the family grows, harvests, and processes herbs, berries, and alpine plants by hand. This hands-on approach preserves the plants’ natural properties, aromas, and colours, allowing FiloFlora to produce a range of handcrafted herbal teas, syrups, jams, aromatic salts, and fitocosmetic products.
Their practices emphasize biodiversity and respect for natural cycles, reflecting both the terrain of the Carnic Alps and the family’s personal commitment to gentle, sustainable cultivation.

About the land around FiloFlora:
FiloFlora is situated in the province of Udine, northeastern Italy, close to the Alpine foothills. The mountain-influenced climate brings warm summers and cool winters, giving the growing cycle a natural rhythm that supports flavorful development of plants and herbs.
The soils and landscape here offer a varied terrain that encourages biodiversity in the fields and supports both lowland herbs and high-altitude botanical varieties such as arnica and stel- la alpine.
“The mountain climate gives us only three to four months for cultivation, so we work with the natural cycle, respecting growth and seasonal rhythms.”
