About the producer and family:

Azienda Agricola Staffus is a family-run farm founded in the late 1960s, rooted in the values of hard work, perseverance, and a deep connection to the land. Today, Alberto Staffus continues the work started by his father Carlo, passing on the same dedication and knowledge to the next generation, with his children actively involved in the daily life of the farm.

The farm has always embraced a diverse agricultural approach, producing fruit, wine grapes, and arable crops, while recently expanding into olive cultivation with the planting of thousands of trees. This evolution reflects both continuity and openness to the future — a balance between tradition and adaptation that defines the family’s work. Every product is the result of hands-on care and a long-standing commitment to cultivating the land with patience and respect.

About the land:
Latisana lies in the fertile lowlands of Friuli, close to both the Adriatic Sea and the Tagliamento River, where a mild climate and abundant water resources create ideal conditions for agriculture. Warm summers and humid air support vigorous plant growth, while seasonal shifts help develop balanced ripeness in both fruit and vines.

The soils here are alluvial, rich in minerals and organic matter, making them particularly suitable for a diverse range of crops — from vineyards to orchards and newly planted olive groves. This landscape has long been shaped by mixed farming, where different cultivations coexist and reinforce the natural fertility of the land.

“A land where water, soil, and seasons work together to support diverse and abundant cultivation.”
